The Anti-Pornography Commission

Declaration

It seems that the situation is not as desperate as it once was. We no longer believe the claims that porn is healthy, and are aware of its harmful effects. We are under no illusions, yet the porn industry has continued to grow. Porn is everywhere, being consumed by all ages. It is no longer taboo. We are at a point that sexual deviancy and fetishism are out in the open.

Our fight against porn is also a fight against masturbation; but porn consumption is half the story, and primarily concerns males. Porn does not only harm its consumers, but its producers too – this is overlooked.

The decentralisation of the porn industry has enabled many people, predominantly women, to produce and sell pornography. They were told that the offence of others is not an argument against sex work – the best lie is the truth – but they were not told that money made from exploitation, even if it is of oneself, cannot be used to any purpose. It is simply time wasted. Understand how your actions affect you, without reference to anyone else – our goal is to develop this understanding with regard to porn.

Throughout history, it has been acceptable to abuse the whore while the whoremonger gets off lightly. Time has remedied this injustice: the male has permitted himself to fall deep into iniquity, drunk on a sense of superiority, while the female has been better preserved morally. We will not tolerate this attitude.

This cause is for all. It will not justify one group and antagonise another. It will teach that we share one goal, and that pornography is one of the obstacles to it. It may seem that porn has its winners and losers, but it only has losers. We need your trust.
